Local-language research agent

Ask the local internet before you plan.

Tell us what kind of trip you want. Our backend agent researches in the destination language, explains why each place is recommended, and proves the map identity before asking you to save it.

The traveler does not source the recommendations.

People judge the researched result and decide whether it changes the trip. Retrieval, translation, evidence capture, and map matching belong to the agent.

Start a research run

What do you want to understand?

A useful request describes the experience and constraints. The agent expands it into native-intent queries for the destination ecosystem.

Fresh runs require sign-in and a connected research worker.

What happens on the backend

Discovery first. Translation second. Map proof before save.

  1. 01

    Think in the destination language

Generate native search patterns for the trip intent—not a literal translation of “hidden gems.”

  2. 02

    Retrieve local-source evidence

Search accessible local-language web sources now, then authenticated platforms such as Xiaohongshu and Dianping when their adapters are connected.

  3. 03

Translate the reason, not just the name

Preserve the original identity and evidence while explaining timing, route role, caveats, and why the recommendation fits the traveler.

  4. 04

    Prove the map handoff

Match the local name, city, branch, address, and provider identities before a recommendation becomes a saveable pin.

Source adapters

Say what was actually searched.

A local-language query and a local platform are different things. The result should never imply Xiaohongshu evidence unless that adapter retrieved it.

Chinese local web

Shanghai municipal sources and Shanghai BendiBao are present in the current evidence snapshot.

Available now

Xiaohongshu

The authenticated Xiaohongshu connection is not set up yet, so no result in this snapshot is attributed to it.

Not connected

Dianping

Provider adapter and policy review are still required; no Dianping result is represented as retrieved.

A neighborhood walk assembled from Chinese-language sources

This is a stored research result, not a live Xiaohongshu search. It shows the output contract a fresh backend run must satisfy.

上海 本地人 周末 citywalk 路线上海 小马路 散步 路线 起点 终点上海 杨浦滨江 工业遗产 citywalk上海 周末 去哪 避雷 预约 交通

Street segment · Map review required

Yuyuan Road as a bounded neighborhood walk

愚园路(定西路—乌鲁木齐北路)

Walk from Dingxi Road to North Urumqi Road with food, small shops, and neighborhood life held inside one usable route.

Agent explanation

The exact segment turns a broad neighborhood suggestion into a walk that can be planned.

Source evidence

This result comes from Shanghai BendiBao · Chinese local web; Xiaohongshu is not part of this snapshot.

Map decision

Bounded route · endpoints need provider review

The source defines both endpoints, but the two intersection identities have not been reviewed inside AMap and Apple Maps.

Industrial reuse · Map review required

Green Hill

绿之丘

Walk through a former industrial structure turned public overlook on the Yangpu riverfront.

Agent explanation

It becomes useful as the next stop in a sequenced river walk, not as an isolated “hidden gem.”

Source evidence

This result comes from Official Shanghai Travel · Chinese local source; Xiaohongshu is not part of this snapshot.

Map decision

Probable place · review before saving

The official address and Apple identity agree. A persistent AMap POI identity still needs review before this can auto-save.

Industrial micro-POI · Map review required

Soap Dream Space

皂梦空间

Add a small stop that explains the riverfront's factory past instead of treating the promenade as scenery alone.

Agent explanation

This micro-POI appears inside a resident-oriented municipal route and is largely absent from English travel results.

Source evidence

This result comes from Official Shanghai Travel · Chinese local source; Xiaohongshu is not part of this snapshot.

Map decision

Probable place · review before saving

The official address is specific, but persistent AMap and Apple provider identities were not confirmed in this public-web audit.

Route finish · Map identity verified

Fuxing Island Park

复兴岛公园

End the industrial river route in the central city's only inland-island park.

Agent explanation

The destination is specific and decision-changing because it pulls the day beyond the usual central visitor circuit.

Resolved place · safe to save

AMap and Apple identify the same named park at 共青路386号. This is the only treatment record that currently meets the two-provider resolved threshold.

Did the agent’s research earn time in the trip?

Traveler evaluation remains useful downstream: add, replace, reject, or correct a researched recommendation. It is not the discovery engine.
